FRACTURED​

These light pillars have a cracked and broken surface. The fractured skin suggests wounds and suffering.
The metallic structures which support the columns are similar to a skeleton, supportive and at the same time weak. The cylinders were initially vertical and straight but during the firing at high temperature (1250°C) they got warped and distorted.
In a world where climate catastrophes are forcing the displacements of people, the light shining through the translucent surface emphasizes frailness while at the same time also symbolizing the power of hope.
